This spokeshave returns to a traditional design of many years ago with the blade set at 20 degrees and with a 25 degrees micro bevel which produces a very clean cut. Cutting depth is adjusted by altering the position of the toe piece rather than the blade. The shape of the body allows it to be used in the conventional position for flat or convex work and when turned over it can be used for concave work. The body is cast aluminium alloy and the blade is a high quality PM-V11 tool steel which holds its edge over a long period of time.

Description
- Same low cutting angle of traditional spokeshaves (20 degrees basic bevel with 25 degrees micro-bevel) but substantially simplified cutting depth adjustment
- Powder-coated cast aluminum body with solid brass fittings
- Toe piece, rather than blade, adjusts to control depth of cut
- Toe piece has two orientations – one suited to convex and flat work and flipped 180 degrees it is set for concave work
- 1/8 inch thick by 2.3/8 inch wide blade made of A2 tool steel
- Blade fixed by two machine screws with specially shaped heads that wedge it in position when knurled knobs are tightened
- Mouth opening controlled by moving blade either forward or backward
- Weighs just over 6 oz
